by chance ( or maybe not !) i bought this book secondhand in san franisco, usa in 1999, when i was passing through back to ireland. it rang very true to me. many of the things have come to pass and many more had not, yet. but i was aware of them and this book gave me and others some of the things to be aware of.i donated that copy to a local library back in ireland a few years later, and when i went to look for it again, it was unfortunately not on the data base.. so finally i have bought a new 2nd hand copy. it is a joy to read, though it makes worrying reading too. but noone can stop the river flowing.thank you mary for writing it, and getting it out there and listening to no-eyes. i relate to that urgeancy to make things known...certain lyrics i wrote years ago never got heard by many..but have been heard by a few.phoenix rising - a lovely book. an important book.

West's penetrating view of the shifting nature of English class structures at the beginning of the twentieth century makes this novel of historic note.In 1720, Fort Chartres was built on the Mississippi between Kaskaskia and Cahokia.Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions that are true to the original work.Completely revised and updated to reflect current advances in heat exchanger technology, Heat Exchanger Design Handbook, Second Edition includes enhanced figures and thermal effectiveness charts, tables, new chapter, and additional topics–:–:all while keeping the qualities that made the first edition a centerpiece of information for practicing engineers, research, engineers, academicians, designers, and manufacturers involved in heat exchange between two or more fluids.Fascinatingly, these stories all have one thing in common: the subjects started eating the opposite of what they had previously been told was healthy. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
